Gary Vaynerchuk’s Tips to Start a Business

Gary Vee Business Tips
Gary Vaynerchuk, also known as Gary Vee, CEO of VaynerMedia, knows all the ins and outs of being an entrepreneur. It is a difficult path that is definitely not for everyone, although that doesn’t mean it’s impossible, you may just need a little boost or some guidance. Here is some of Gary Vee’s advice to help you get started if you’re thinking about starting a business yourself:

1. Know yourself

Self-awareness is one of the biggest keys to success in business. You have to identify the things you are good at and do them for the rest of your life. Being self-aware does not just mean betting on your strengths, it also means that you accept your shortcomings.
Don’t reach, hope, and wish that you were capable of certain things. There are way too many people out there who are delusional about their skills/talents. Instead, focus on what you’re good at, and go all in on that.
If you have yet to figure out what your strengths are, then your number one priority should be gathering as many experiences as possible. Try new things, learn, and most importantly, remember that there is no such thing as being lost in life, you might just be early in the process.

2. Patience

Those who play the long game in the business world are most likely to win when it’s all said and done. You have to realise that building a successful business is a huge time commitment. If it did not require an extraordinary amount of effort and sacrifices, it would not be special, and everyone would do it.
Take a hard look at every successful person around you and remember this: each and every single one of them worked their faces off to be where they are at today. Overnight success is a myth.
The micro losses, the setbacks, the adversity happens to everybody along the process. It is the way people react to those setbacks that separate the winners from the losers.

3. Start

People come up with thousands of business ideas every day, but very few have the courage to actually turn those ideas into actions. Getting started seems to be the most difficult thing for most people. Many are held back by the opinions of others, whether it be family or friends. However, at the end of the day, excuses won’t matter, the results will.
If you want to do something, you find a way. If you don’t, you make an excuse. It’s as simple as that.
Realise that you have to make yourself happy first before you can make everyone else happy, and make something HAPPEN!
